The dogs featured in this production are not stage dogs raised in a kennel environment. They are a part of Jennifer Fraser's family.
A Life Built Around the Dogs
Each dog lives in Jennifer’s home and is fully integrated into everyday family life. They sleep on her bed, rest at her feet while she works, and are raised in an environment built entirely around their care, enrichment, wellbeing, and development.
Raised on an acreage in Alberta designed around training and canine development, the dogs have the freedom to run, explore, swim, play, and simply enjoy being dogs. Surrounded by Jennifer’s family of six, they receive constant interaction, companionship, attention, and individualized care as part of daily life.
Performance is only one part of their world. Equal importance is placed on balance, happiness, enrichment, and long term wellbeing, allowing the dogs to thrive both on and off the stage while truly living their best lives.

A Training Method Built on Choice and Trust
Jennifer’s training approach is based entirely on positive reinforcement, using food, toys, and interaction to develop behavior through engagement, communication, and trust. At the core of her work is a system she has developed called “Training Naked”. During active training, no collars, harnesses, restraints, or physical control are used to train the dog.
Dogs do not perform simply because they are asked to. They perform because they understand the work, enjoy it, and have developed a strong relationship with their trainer built on trust, respect, and connection rather than control. Behaviors are developed through shaping, reinforcement, repetition, and relationship building, creating performers who are engaged, responsive, and enthusiastic about the work.
This method requires time, consistency, and a strong relationship, but it produces dogs capable of performing confidently and reliably even in complex and high pressure environments.
With the right temperament and foundation, a dog can be prepared for stage performance in as little as six months.
Daiquiri
